These bittern are much more colorful than the American Bittern we have out here. I am planning to be in Alabama next year (either Jan/Fed or March) to visit my daughter. Thinking about driving over to Florida for a few days as I believe I mentioned before. Think I will try for March when the birds are feeding their young. I have read that Gatorland is a good place to check out. Anyway, this is an excellent image!
