In addition to the banner, I am adding this more permanent recognition of its FEATURE on the homepage of A TREE OR TREES IN BLACK AND WHITE. I try mightily to feature only images that would be at home in a juried competition. No doubt that this image fits that bill. CONGRATULATIONS! And consider adding your image to DISCUSSIONS "Please post your featured photograph here" for greater, long-lasting visibility.

Artist's Description

Digital capture with Sony NEX and 24mm Vivitar (Kiron) lens in a 10 exposure sweep panorama on tripod - later converted to infrared black and white - of Florida live oak strangely bent over river. The detail in this image is incredible, and exceeds any wide angle image I have ever shot ! For larger or signed prints please use the "contact" function. Thanks for stopping by to view my work ! ........Larry

I became enamored with all animals, but especially birds and even took lessons in taxidermy. In 1959 we moved to Florida where my exposure to animals and birds was greatly expanded. Later, as I became a frustrated artist - I began photography in the Army base craftshops in Frankfurt Germany while stationed there in 1969 using a Pentax Spotmatic. Since then, I have been self taught in all forms of graphics and photography and used all sized camera systems including 8X10. After the Army, I had my own free lance...
